This set of ten lessons teaches about each of God’s holy days and the non-observance of Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.
Dear Juniors,
What is one of your most favorite possessions? What do you value very highly? A thing you could never replace? A treasure. Something you will always remember. A jewel among your possessions.
God also has a treasured possession. Read Malachi 3:17. "'They will be mine,' says the LORD almighty, 'in the day when I make up my treasured possessions.’”
God's treasured possessions are people! What people? Could it be you? Let's find out. Read Malachi 3:16. "Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.”
The people who love God and who talk about Him are heard by God. God hears us when we talk about Him! But more than that; God writes it down. He keeps track of who loves Him and talks about Him. Why does He write it down? It is because these people will be God's treasured possessions.
How does that work? That's what this book is about. These ten lessons are about the plan of God. They talk about God's actions to bring you into His family. From The Passover Lamb who died for you to save you from death, to A Closing Assembly, you'll learn about God's Holy Days and their special meaning for you. God wants you to Celebrate With Joy when each Holy Day comes. Make It Count! Because God is listening. Learn to Do Justly, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly With Your God.
As you are doing each of these lessons, you'll also learn why not to celebrate Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. God wants The Truth and Nothing But the Truth. Sometimes, these holidays are just Too Good To Be True, because God wants His truth shown to the world. That's what you'll learn in Christmas Lights or Christ's Light?
It is my prayer you come to love God's Holy Days and what they picture and show us of God. As you do these lessons, think about God's response. He's taking notes. He knows who is honoring, loving, talking about, and learning more about Him.
So, come inside. Let's talk about our Great God.
Love,
Cynthia Saladin
