Have you ever been on a long trip and come home after dark? It gives you a good feeling to drive up and see the lights shining. You know that you are welcome there. You belong!
“Home” is one of the sweetest words in our language. At home, you feel safe. When the neighbor kid picks a fight, it is the place you can run to and find comfort. You can enter the door and find love and understanding. You can close the door and lock out the dangers of the world. Its roof shelters you from the rain and the walls keep out the cold winds. Home is a special place.
This YEA book is loaded with lessons about home that will make you feel safe and secure, warm and welcome, loved, and looked-after. You will meet a Wise Builder and some men who made A Hole in the Roof. You will learn what real Happiness Is and be invited to Come to God’s House. By the time you finish this book, you will agree that There’s No Place Like Home!
The welcome mat is out for you. Take a few minutes to look through your book and see the fun things there are for you to do. Reading your lessons ahead of time will help you be ready for Sabbath School. Reading the Daily Devotionals at the back of your book each day is the key that will unlock the door to Home, Sweet Home. God is waiting for you in these lessons with open arms. He wants you to spend time with Him in prayer and Bible reading.
