This set of ten lessons starts with Jesus’ birth and the beginning of his ministry.
Dear Teenager,
If you’re the average teenager, learning about God is important to you, but you would like for it to be fun. YEA writers had this in mind as your lessons were crafted. But we also thought about what you face each day: peer pressure, casual sex, drug use, gang violence, and that’s just before the third period. We know the toughest challenge you face each day isn’t in the form of a pop quiz. You are confronted with real-life issues swirling around you. YEA Sabbath School lessons are planned to give you solid ground to stand on.
Junior Highers are unique people trying to find their place in our changing and confusing world. All of these things were considered as these ten lessons were written. A new approach has been incorporated in this program so that learning is made fun through interactive discussions. Each lesson is designed to challenge you to think, to analyze and compare while drawing a life application and discovering the advantages of walking with God.
The activities aren’t just an activity for the sake of having one. Each activity is designed to reinforce the lesson with exciting, hands-on team learning experiences through purposeful games, service projects, demonstrations, responsive readings, etc. They will help to strengthen relationships and create new friends.
Your teacher doesn’t intend to bore you by standing up and preaching to you. But for your class to be as good as it can be, there’s something you need to do. Before coming to class, read your lesson along with every Scripture. Your opinion and thoughts are important. The contribution you make in class will be much better with only a few minutes spent in preparation. If you will keep the discussion tips in mind as you read, you can participate in class and have fun.
These lessons make it possible for Sabbath School to be better than it has ever been. Now, come to Sabbath School and have some fun!
