About This Book

This set of ten lessons includes topics about Creation, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah, Hagar, and Sodom and Gomorrah.

Dear Intermediates,

What is God Doing? How Did it All Begin? Thousands of years ago God said, "I'll make me a world." He stepped out in space and said, "Let there be light and there was light." This was such an important step done with lots of forethought, planning, designing, and work. How much time did God spend trying to determine where to hang each star, and where to draw land boundaries? How in the world did He do such an excellent job providing enough water for every piece of land? All of this was created from nothing by the Word of God.

Did I say from nothing? Yes, God created everything, including A Zoo From Nothing. What a God we have! We see such balance in nature - such beauty and variety. Looking at some of the creatures and critters He made, God has to have a sense of humor. He certainly made us a world that abounds with things to feast our eyes and ears on. Fly into Bermuda at night and catch a taxi to your hotel. Listen! No, you're not hearing chimes. It's the sound of frogs everywhere. They make such a delightful sound. Listen to the birds singing and the sounds of crickets. God gave us many delightful sounds to enjoy.

But Why Creation? Why did God make this world? What did He have in mind? You will learn that God loves you so much that the whole point of creation is man - you! He went to all of this trouble to provide you with everything you need to know Him, to love Him, and to accept His Son as your Savior. Then God Rested on the seventh day. God wasn't the one who needed the rest, but He knew you would. He didn't design man to work seven days a week. So he graciously included a day in His plan for you to rest and remember Him as Creator.

God put Adam and Eve in the beautiful Garden of Eden with only one restriction. They were not to eat of the forbidden fruit. The Choice was theirs. Guess what happened when they failed the test. They had two sons. Would you believe the very first person born on this earth became a murderer? That's not a very good record - Sin is Stalking.

Man became Rotten to The Core. God told 500 year old Noah to build an ark out on dry land without a body of water to be seen. The people could believe God and go into the ark and be saved from death in the Great Flood or they could laugh at "Nutty Noah." They probably thought they could ascend the highest hill and then climb the tallest tree. Only through actively believing and obeying God could they be saved from this dreadful flood.

Would you like to find that you have Rich and Famous Relatives? Read lesson eight and see if you're related to these people. What were they like? Why should you want to claim them as your relatives?

Again, God said, "enough is enough" and He destroyed two cities with fire and brimstone. Lot and his family were saved . . .except, Lot's wife had to look back on her rotten home town when she was told not to. Read the lesson and see what happened to her. It was Not So Cool.

The lesson about The Mystery Man is filled with intrigue. You may find some interesting things in this lesson. Barbara Eldred, the YEA Coordinator for CESA from the land down under - Australia - assisted in writing this lesson. This is just one clue to help you along the way. Read carefully and look for others. Work the puzzle and see how important this is to your basic Bible understanding.

It's always important that you do the Activity in your book, read your Devotional Bible readings and your lesson. This book is jammed packed with excitement and fun! Enjoy!
