PASS AWAY - disappear
Do you remember how many days God said that we are to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles? He told us to celebrate it for seven days! But did you know that we always stay at the Feast for eight days? Do you know why that is? God wants you to celebrate one more Feast – it’s The Greatest Day of all.
Do you remember that God’s Kingdom is going to come to this earth and you will live with your Friend Jesus? It will be such a beautiful, wonderful Kingdom that will last for 1,000 years. Now that’s a long, long time. But what happens then?
Have you ever looked up at the beautiful blue sky and wondered will the sky ever go away? The time will come when God will send down a new heaven and a new earth that will last forever! A new city of Jerusalem, as pretty as a beautiful bride all dressed for her wedding will come down. God is making that city just for us.
At that time, a loud voice will be heard from God’s throne in heaven. It will say that God is coming to live with us. God is Jesus’ Father and He’s our Heavenly Father too. We will not only live with our Friend Jesus, we will also live with our Heavenly Father.
When this happens, there will be no more death, no more crying, no more pain. You won’t skin your knee or break your arm any more. Can you imagine how happy everyone will be? We’ll never get old or die. No one will ever do anything bad.
Do you want to be in that beautiful city and live forever? Then you must love and obey God. Isn’t the Last Great Day a wonderful day to celebrate? It’s The Greatest Day of all.

When teaching little children, combine the new, old, and unexpected. Don’t let a technique drive the presentation, rather let the technique improve the lesson. Techniques should improve recall in the child’s mind. YEA goals are much greater than entertaining or even educating children for the moment; our goals are the salvation of our kids – eternal goals.
Before class color a large poster board light blue and attach it low enough to the wall that the children can easily add pictures to it. Draw the following on the appropriate color: stars, sun, moon, birds, bees, snow flakes, clouds, rain drops. Cut out and number them one through eight on the back. Put a piece of double stick tape on the back of each one.
Parents want education before entertainment and kids want entertainment before education. The number one element in reaching kids is humor – it has to be entertainment at a level that will keep your class interested in the story. Some time might be well spent for a teacher to watch Nickelodeon cartoons. Notice what kids laugh at – not what you laugh at.
Make each character come alive in your lessons. Portray characters with their biblical attitude, personality, sensibilities, and sense of humor. But make it accurate and real.
Take all of the pictures off the sky and put them in a basket. Shake it and dump the pictures on the floor in front of the children. Tell the kids they are to pick up one or more picture (depending on the size of the class), when you say “go.” Say “go” and watch the scramble. Ask each person the question number that coordinates with the number on the back of their picture. If you have more than eight students, make up more questions. If you have fewer than eight, let them pick up more than one and ask all of the questions.
1. Name one thing you see in the sky.
2. What is The Greatest Day called?
3. Who comes to live with us when the new city of Jerusalem comes down?
4. When do we celebrate the Last Great Day?
5. Will there be a new heaven?
6. Will there be a new earth?
7. In the new city of Jerusalem, will there be any crying or pain?
8. What must you do to be in that city?
Letter: C (The sound is the soft c - like city; watch out for the hard c words like come)
Words: city, celebrate, cinch, certain, center, celebration
Sentence:
WE WILL CERTAINLY CENTER OUR ATTENTION ON THE HOLY CITY. WE ALL WILL CELEBRATE.
“Happy All The Time” is found on page 40 of Kids Classics Collection.
Lead the children in prayer thanking God for such a wonderful plan that is shown in His feast days. Thank God for each child in the room and single them out by name as you talk to God about them.
