God looked around at all of the new things He had made. Birds flew in the sky. Fish swam in the rivers, lakes and oceans. There were animals on the hillsides. There were creatures in the jungles and forests. God was very happy with everything He had made. But, there was nothing that could think like God could. There was nothing that could talk to Him.
So, God reached down and picked up a hand full of dirt. He made a man out of the dirt. Then God breathed on the man and he came alive! He could walk and talk. He could do al the things you can do. God called the first man Adam.
God put Adam in a beautiful garden. Adam's job was to name al the animals from A to Z. He named the alligator and ape. He named the bear and buffalo. But, not one of these animals could talk to Adam.
God didn't want Adam to be lonely. He took one of Adam's ribs and made a woman out of it. He named her Eve. God gave Adam and Eve everything they would ever need.
God made each one of you. He made every person different. God also takes care of you because He loves you.

If you have worked with young children for very long, you will be very much aware of their innate curiosity. They have a question for every situation. As tiresome as these questions may become, they offer an excellent opportunity to impart biblical truth to these hungry little minds.
Today's lesson introduces man as God's ultimate creation. When God made Adam and Eve, it was the culmination of His six days of creation. God made man and woman different from the animals. They could talk to each other and to God. Not only did God make Adam and Eve, but He made each one of us.
Before God made the first man, He created everything that man would need to live and thrive. God not only created things, He provided for them and cared for them. He does the same for us today!
Make enough copies of the following poem so that each child will have one: God made me something special, I'm the only one of my kind. He gave me a strong body, and a bright healthy mind. Mix a few drops of dish soap with a thin layer of tempera paint in a shallow pie pan.
Have Alpha ask the review questions.
1. What was the last thing that God made?
2. Can you tell how God made the very first man?
3. What did God use to make the first woman?
4. What did God name the first man and woman?
5. Who made you and takes care of you?

That God made me.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am glad you didn't stop creating after you made the animals. Thank you for making Adam and Eve and for taking care of them. Thank you for making me and taking care of me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
